Height velocity chart for boys from birth to adulthood 
Height velocity is the change in height over an interval of time. The length of time needed to establish a normal growth velocity depends upon the increment that might be expected and the accuracy of the equipment used The child must maintain a height velocity at around the fiftieth percentile to maintain growth along the centile line on a distance chart.
